How Effective Is Real Estate Training, Really?
Two agents are at the same company with similar experience. They attend a majority of the same training classes, workshops, and presentations. They have similar broker support and in house mentoring, but the results are dramatically different. Why?
I know a majority of my readers in some manner and I'm aware of the depth of experience on your side of the screen. I know you've seen it, too! I'm now located in the #2 Berkshire Hathaway in the nation and they provide unbelievable training and broker support, yet agents still struggle. Many of them! It's understandable too!
The truth, agent's can go to all the training in the world, educate themselves until the end of time, but if they struggle with their mindsets, it's almost worthless! Can seminars and training help agents with mindset? Yes, but it's very limited. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that if one of my clients comes in here and really struggles with confidence, training is very ineffective. I'll go a step further and state that the old models of traditional real estate coaching can be very ineffective, too! Why? What most real estate coaches in the industry really do IS TRAINING. It's wonderful and very effective, unless the true root of the struggle is mindset or confidence related.
A lack of confidence is deeply personal. I'm a certified mindset coach based in the core energy coaching methodology and I can tell you that out of all the clients I've helped with mindset or confidence challenges, the root cause has been different FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE. Why? They all have different backgrounds, experiences, educations, upbringings, influences, associations, hardships, success stories, ambitions, and on down the line. That means it requires a skilled and custom approach to help them gain the awareness needed to break free and move forward more confidently.
Have you ever noticed that you don't retain that much information from a presentation or workshop? That's primarily because you still have 10 times the influence on your own mind vs the speaker! My onboarding process is laborious and it's mindset heavy, but we often find many clues in the process. Clues that help us get to the root of your mindset or confidence challenges. Is this therapy? No, I refer out for therapy based challenges, but ICF accredited coaching does mingle with therapy to some degree. I get to work mostly on the now, future, and performance psychology side of things! It's crucial for high performance!
